NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A MEETING OF THE BISHOP'S CASTLE TOWN COUNCIL WILL BE HELD IN THE TOWN HALL ON TUESDAY 8th FEBRUARY 2005 AT 8.00 P.M.

1. Apologies for absence.

2. Declaration of Interest: Members are requested to declare any personal and/or prejudicial interests they may have in matters to be considered at this meeting in accordance with the terms of the Local Authorities (Model Code of Conduct) (England) Order 2001 issued under Section 51 Local Government Act 2000 as follows:

3. Minutes of the Council Meeting held on Tuesday 11th January 2005 and
extraordinary meeting, (closed session) also held on 11th January 2005.

6. Town & Country Planning Act:

7. Auguste Bouvard painting.
Update on information. Should the picture be sold? Decision

8. Closure of Telephone boxes
Request from Matthew Green M.P. to Town/Parish Councils for a letter of support to keep telephone boxes open. Decision

9. Skateboard Park.
Report on the three meetings and update on current position.
Agreement to position in playing field and approval for payments to be made
through the Town Council so that VAT can be refunded. Decision

10. Request for a disabled parking box.
Mrs Gillian Bass is carrying out an access survey of Bishop's Castle and she has requested we approached the County Council for a disabled box on the road outside the church Decision

11. Draft Works programme 1005/06
Shropshire County Councils proposals for highway maintenance 2005/06.

12. Town Enhancement in the Square.
Approval to apply for funding for Town visitor interpretation. Decision

13. Kerry Ridgeway Tourist Information Panel at the Church.
Alison Caffyn is hoping to have a Tourist Information Panel installed on the Church's boundary wall. If the Town Council requests it there is no need for planning permission. Decision

14. Parking notices
Update on the parking notices scheme. Information

15. Cardboard collection
Update on the Town's cardboard collection. Cllr. Hird Information

16. Street lighting.
Suggestion that Shropshire County Council should be approached for street lights
to be installed at the Kennels Crossroads and College cross roads. Decision

17. Risk assessment policy.
Acceptance of Risk assessment policy. (see attached)
