NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A MEETING OF THE BISHOP'S CASTLE TOWN COUNCIL WILL BE HELD IN THE TOWN HALL ON TUESDAY 11TH JANUARY 2005 AT 8.00 P.M.

1. Apologies for absence.

2. Declaration of Interest: Members are requested to declare any personal and/or prejudicial interests they may have in matters to be considered at this meeting in accordance with the terms of the Local Authorities (Model Code of Conduct) (England) Order 2001 issued under Section 51 Local Government Act 2000 as follows:

3. Minutes of the Council Meeting held on Tuesday
7th December 2004.

4. Matters Arising.

d) 1/04/16533/CC County Council Development. Construction of a sports and arts facility, extensions; a viewing gallery; associated external works including alterations to vehicular and pedestrian access.

Looked at by Mayor and Deputy Mayor who agreed to no comment.

7. Rearrangement of bank accounts. Decision
More interest would be obtained if some of the bank accounts
are combined.

Current Account - 0.10%
Business High Interest Dividend Bond - 4.25%

8. Precept Decision
Agreement of amount of Precept requested for 2005/6.
See notes attached.

9. Donation Decision
Request from the Old Castle Land Trust for a donation of
£400.

10. Dispensation Information
Dispensation granted when considering matters relating to
Bishop's Castle Public Hall for a four year period.

11. Litter from Fish and Chip shop.
Request for a letter to be sent to the fish and chip shop asking
for the fish and chip papers around the square to be cleared.

12. Benches in the playing fields. Decision
Six benches in the playing field will become available for
resiting. Suggestions of suitable places required.

13. Fence at Bishop's Castle Building Supplies. Information
The Mayor has been in discussion with Mr Matthews and The
Planning Department at the District Council regarding fencing
and hedging at the above site.

14. FP 22 - Foot path between A488 and Bowling Green Close.
a) The Footpath Department at South Shropshire District Council
intends to reinstate the path to its proper route at the A488
end. (ie) move it approx 2 metres south.) Information
b) The footpath between Old Brick Meadow and Bowling Green
Close does not at present follow the correct route. It should
go across the middle of the field. It is suggested the Town
Council make an application to divert the path to where people
currently walk and then it can be covered in tarmac. Decision

15. New Grit bins
Request to apply for funding to upgrade some of the salt bins
in town. Decision

16. Circulation.
Need to improve the circulation. The last pack returned was
sent out in June. Suggestion that a set circulation order is
followed. Any other ideas? Decision
