GIVEN THAT A MEETING OF THE BISHOP'S CASTLE TOWN COUNCIL WILL BE HELD IN THE
TOWN HALL ON TUESDAY 21st JUNE 2005 AT 8.00 P.M.

1. Apologies for absence.
2. Declaration
of Interest: Members are requested to declare any personal and/or prejudicial
interests they may have in matters to be considered at this meeting in accordance
with the terms of the Local Authorities (Model Code of Conduct) (England)
Order 2001 issued under Section 51 Local Government Act 2000 as follows:
a) declarations of personal interests.
b) declarations of prejudicial interests.
3. Minutes of
the Council Meeting held on Tuesday 31ST May 2005
4. Matters Arising.
5. Members of
the public wishing to speak. Notice must be given prior to the commencement
of the meeting. (Maximum of three minutes per person).
6. Town & Country Planning Act:
a) Any other plans received.
b) Reports of Planning Applications.
7. Naiad's Well - Request to use OId Market Place on Sunday 7th August for Lammas celebrations. Decision
8. X-Ray machine
at Bishop's Castle Community Hospital
Request for a letter of support urging the provision of an x-ray machine at
the hospital. Decision
9. Civic Ceremony (Mayors Sunday)
As few Councillors now attend this event it is suggested an informal meeting
be arranged to include the Rev. Collins to discuss how this event should be
celebrated in the future. Decision
10. Parking
Feedback on parking tickets to date. Letter sent to the Police. Information

b) Top of Union Street.
c) Between the two Stone House entrances.
11. Grassed area in Oak Meadow.
Feedback on meeting with the Mayor, Ray Pahl and Graham Biggs regarding this
piece of land. Information
12. Town Hall Toilets.
Information on the running of the toilets. Decision
13. Speeding
in the Town.
Following on from the last meeting the suggestion of a speed limit of 20 mph
and speed bumps in High Street / Church Street. Decision
15. Youth Shelter
The SSDC have purchased a Youth Shelter for Bishops Castle and they would
now like to know where it is to be placed.

17. Report of recent meetings attended by Council representatives.
18. Correspondence.
a)(i) Shropshire County Council - Access for users - dropped curbs to be installed
within three months.
(ii) Civic Society - Concern over drink cans left in the street.
(iii) Letter from Gavin Watson 19 Castle Street and copies of letters from
Mr Watson to Ian Rutherford, SCC, regarding his boundary with the road.
b) For circulation
(i) Shropshire Arts Advisory Council
