7. Co-option of a Councillor.
Mary Holton and Bill Hendley were applicants interviewed for co-option as

9. Surfacing of Chapel Yard (Cllrs Dr. Penney and
Pinches)
Discussion of ongoing plans to resurface Chapel Yard. Discussion/Decision
10. Parish Guide to the Planning Process 2006-10-31
The Parish Guide to the planning process has now been published. Would Councillors
like an area planning officer to come to meet them and introduce the document
at the next meeting? Would it be better to call a special meeting to give
more time? Decision
11. Draft Planning Enforcement Policy for South Shropshire.
Comments on the Draft Planning Enforcement Policy for South Shropshire.
Would Councillors like to receive a monthly e-list of all enforcement cases
on a confidential basis. Decision
12. Door to Gents Toilet
It has been suggest that the outside door to the gents toilet be move to the
road side of the porch. This would stop the porch being used as a urinal when
the toilets are closed. Decision
13. Lighting of footpaths
Proposal for sustainable lighting on the Town Centre public footpaths.

15. Farmers market. (Cllr. Stanley)
a) Request to purchase Road Closure notices (2 @ approximately £50 each)
b) Approval to apply for road closure notices for Market Square for each Farmers
Market until end of March.
c) Approval to obtain Temporary Events Notices for the December Farmers Market
(possibly others in the new year) to enable alcohol to be sold in Market Square.

16. Street Closure for Christmas Lights Festival
Saturday 25 November from 12.00 hrs to 22.00hrs
Church Street, High Street, Market Square from Mace/Nationwide (Union Street/Station
Street crossroads) to Autolycus (junction with Salop Street) and Union Street/Welsh
Street Junctions.

17. Combined newsletters
Last meeting the idea of combining newsletters with the Lydbury newsletter
was discussed. After further discussion with the Lydbury English Centre who
produce the newsletter it was decided the most practical way forward is to
exchange newsletters and print pieces of interest. Do Councillors have any
objections.
