NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A MEETING OF THE BISHOP'S CASTLE TOWN COUNCIL WILL BE HELD IN THE TOWN HALL ON TUESDAY 28th MARCH 2006 AT 8.00 P.M.

1. Apologies for absence.

2. Declaration of Interest: Members are requested to declare any personal and/or prejudicial interests they may have in matters to be considered at this meeting in accordance with the terms of the Local Authorities (Model Code of Conduct) (England) Order 2001 issued under Section 51 Local Government Act 2000 as follows:
a) declarations of personal interests.
b) declarations of prejudicial interests.

3.a) Minutes of the Council Meetings held on Tuesday 28th February 2006
b) Minutes of the Annual Town Meeting held on Tuesday 14th March 2006.

4. Matters Arising - Relevant information following the last meeting.

5. Members of the public wishing to speak. Notice must be given prior to the commencement of the meeting. (Maximum of three minutes per person).

6. Town & Country Planning Act:
a) 1/06/18001/F Format of balancing lake, retrospective application made under section 73a of the Town and Country Planning Act.

7. Footpath from Grange Road to Kerry Green
Letter from Mrs Price asking for the footpath to be covered in tarmac. Decision

8. Michaelmas Fair
Request for the free use of the playing fields for the Michaelmas Fair.

9. Policing in Bishop's Castle
Dissatisfaction with the policing in Bishop's Castle. A request is being made for a representative of the West Mercia Police to attend the meeting. Discussion

10. Notices for Playing Fields
Approval requested for the notices to go on the playing fields. Approval

11. Housekeeping matters
a) Window cleaner - Approval required for a three monthly clean of Town Hall windows by Clear and Clean Ltd at £25 a time. Approval
b) Approval required for the Town Hall cleaner to be paid for 7 hours for a one day spring clean of the Town Hall (if she is willing). Approval
c) Chair - One of the chairs in the office is broken, should it be repaired or thrown.

12. Holiday Cover
The Clerk will be on holiday at the time of the July meeting. Approval required for someone to take minutes at the meeting. Approval

13. Town Hall Toilets
There will be an official handover of the Town Hall toilets by the South Shropshire District Council on Thursday 30th March at 11.30pm Information

14 Crossroads- Brampton Road and Kennels Bank
Lights were requested at these junctions some time ago. There have been several accidents since then. Should further representation be made to the County Council. Decision

15. Planting along the footpath adjacent to Oak Meadow
Request for a contribution from the Town Council for planting on the bank adjacent to the new footpath by Oak Meadow. Decision

16. Street Lighting Contract
Consideration of street lighting contracts.

17. Local Council Review
The Local Council Review is published every two months. If we are to continue receiving copies we have to pay £17 per year. Decision
