7. REPORT BY COUNTY AND DISTRICT COUNCILLORS
8.CHOIR VISIT FROM ST.MARCEL.
Following the very successful visit by the Marches Choir to St Marcel last October, the St Marcel choir is coming to Bishops Castle in July. Whilst in France, the choir were lavishly entertained by the mayor and committee in St Marcel. The Bishop’s Castle Twinning committee would like the Town Council’s support. Decision
9.SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL’S LOCAL JOINT COMMITTEES.
To consider changes in the local joint committees under unitary.
10. CORE STRATEGY ISSUES AND OPTIONS.
To consider this Council’s response to County proposals.
11.APPLICATION FOR LISTED BUILDING CONSENT FOR PHOTO-VOLTAIC CELLS ON THE TOWN HALL ROOF
The clerk has received the planning application. Should the Council go ahead with this. Decision
12. QUOTATION RECEIVED FOR REPAIRS TO THE ROOF.
The clerk has received a quotation from South Shropshire Roofing Service.

13.TOWN HALL RENOVATION.
Council approval is sought for the continuation of the Heritage Lottery Bid and its cost. Decision
14. CASTLE GREEN PARKING.
Concerns over safety at that junction as cars are parking on the bricked surface.
15. A REQUEST FOR NEW BINS
One is needed outside the Co-op/Harley Jenkins St, another outside 9/11 Market Square. Decision
16. REQUEST FOR NEW STREET SIGN ON LABURNUM ALLEY.
As there are now two houses on Laburnum Alley, should the Council ask for Street signs. Decision
17. REQUEST FOR A NEW VACUUM CLEANER FOR THE TOWN HALL.
18.BISHOP’S CASTLE ALLOTMENTS CONFIDENTIAL
The Town Council’s permission is required concerning developments at the allotments.
19.TO APPROVE THE APPONTMENT OF THE INTERNAL AUDITOR.
Mr John Nicholls, who has audited the books for several years,has offered his services again.
20. BISHOP’S CASTLE LIGHTFOOT COMPANY AND THE HOUSING ENERGY SURVEY.
Would the Town Council agree to Mr Dave Tomlinson from the above company to come and give a 20 minute demonstration/talk about their work, to support a bid for £300 grant from the Council. Decision
21 GRASS CUTTING IN THE PLAYING FIELDS.
The Clerk is to invite quotations from three companies, for a three year contract.
