Two mid range sound systems are available, Yamaha and Leam. Each is supplied with speakers mounted on tripods.

The major difference between them is that the Yamaha is better suited to stereo inputs such as CD decks or iPods, it also provides phantom power for condenser microphones (such as the hanging microphone) and can feed monitor speakers.

Yamaha (click here for a copy of the instructions)

This system provides an 200 watt per channel output and has a 12 input mixer.

Channels 1 -4 are mono and have both XLR microphone and 1/4inch jack line inputs, the XLR connections provide 15v phantom power.

Channels 5/6 & 7/8 are stereo or mono with both XLR microphone and 1/4inch jack line inputs, the XLR connections provide 15v phantom power.

Channels 9/10 & 11/12 are stereo and have phono sockets

Leam

The Leam system provides 100 watts per channel and has a 7 input mixer

Channels 1-6 can take both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (1/4 jack) inputs. It does not provide phantom power.

An additional Aux input accepts inputs from CD players, iPods or tape machines via phono sockets.

Powered Speakers

We have two speakers which have their own built in 180w amplifiers.

Each has two inputs, a line input for tape decks, mixers or CD players and a separate microphone input. These are ideal for events where the DJ has their own decks or you just require one or two microphones (one per speaker).

They can also be used a monitor speakers with the yamaha or large sound system.

The picture opposite shows them being used with the twin CD deck, an excellent combination for a disco.

The connections and volume controls are on a small panel at the rear of each speaker.
