IT Centre Rules

  • Our aim is to provide the best service possible to all our customers. Please help us to do this.
  • Do not use the Centre in such a way that will jeopardise the work of others, the integrity of the computer equipment or any stored data.
  • Please do not copy any of our software or programs or data unless given permission by the manager or owner of the data.
  • Please be aware that we hold licences to use the software on the machines at Enterprise House and that manufacturers restrictions apply to the use of this software.
  • Please take care that you do not leave personal, sensitive or business critical information on the PCs because we cannot accept responsibility for its security.
  • Please consider your position (and ours) under the Data Protection Act.
  • Observe any further conditions that may be applicable as a result in changes to our policies or by Act of Parliament.
  • If you break the rules or act in a way that is deemed inappropriate we reserve the right to withdraw facilities and access.
  • Be aware of the location of fire exits.

PLEASE

· Ask for help from staff if needed.

· Shut down the computer correctly.

· Save your work regularly.

· If using a floppy disk or the internet be aware of computer viruses.

· Act in consideration of other users of the Centre.

PLEASE DO NOT

· Leave your work unattended.

· Insert or remove floppy disks when the disk light is on.

· Eat or drink while using the computer.

· Load any personal software or games.
