The Gumbo Festival (July 25th – 27th) a celebration of Blues”n”Roots music.
The festival runs over a weekend . We are calling on some of our best local bands as well as international head line acts. The festival site is a 5 minute walk from the centre of Bishop’s Castle with its interesting history and quirky shops. The area is much loved for its unspoilt surroundings and friendly people. Come and enjoy a weekend of music, food and fun. The finest local ales, ciders and foods all available on site.

CLUN CARNIVAL July 26 – August 3
Several events, starting with an Art & Craft Exhibition in the Hightown Community Room on 26 July (closes 3 August). On Show Day, 2 August, a procession of carnival floats tour the town at 1.00 p.m. followed by Queen in The Square. From 2 pm there will be a large horticultural and homecraft show on the Castle Meadow, together a tea tent, bar, stalls and entertainments.

A 24 mile walk with 4,000ft. of ascent through stunning landscape to the north of the town with a 11 & 13 mile options on parts of the route.
